Happy Birthday!!

Hello Friends!!

Today A Blog Named Hero (ABNH) is playing with Simon Says Stamp (SSS) to celebrate our birthday!! Woohoo! If you didn't know, SSS sponsors every challenge we have at ABNH. They are wonderfully generous and supportive and we're excited to celebrate!

Above: I'm loving the Hero Arts "Year Round Sentiments" lately. It has been fitting my card needs! The sentiment and heart are from that set. The speech bubble and the polka dot are from SSS "For the Record" along with the coordinating die set, "Talk Bubbles".

The yellow and red mats are the same ink color as the speech bubble and heart, HA Raspberry Jam and Poppy. Yummy!

Above: you saw me use the SSS "Square Sayings" on an earlier card, well, I had to get the circle die/stamp set too ("Circle Friends" stamp set and "Tri Circle" die)! I spent too long on this card, the circles are supposed to make things easy but then I had to go and over think everything. I should have remembered, KISS!! (keep it simple, silly!)

Above: my favorite! How cute is that house?? Love it! The stamp set is SSS "Where Your Heart Is" and the die set is "Where the Heart Is". So fun! The grass is from a Lawn Fawn set! Colored with copics, glossy accents on the windows and some yummy Timeless Twine! So fun!

I had SO much fun playing with SSS's exclusive stamp/die sets! They are so fun!

I also used linen vellum cardstock on all 3. I might be obsessed! It's fun to color on (you don't really blend, but you get this cool look from the texture). Super easy to stamp on and super easy to play with! I got mine at Papertrey Ink.

Head over to A Blog Named Hero to see other fabby creations! There are prizes!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn Day!!!

Hello Fawny Friends!!!

Today is super, duper, uber exciting! So, just in case you're brand new to my blog (and seriously, why has it taken you so long to find me?!) or you're living under a rock...I love Lawn Fawn. Big surprise, eh?

Well, some of the DT girls on the Lawnscaping team were able to help make sample cards for Lawn Fawn to distribute to retailers around the world! Woohoo! I was like, sign me up! Now, we didn't design the cards (talk about pressure!) but I made 125 in one week! Wha??? Yup, that's how much I love me some Lawn Fawn.

Ok, so, Kelly (Mrs. Fawn), was SO kind and generous to the girls that she asked if we'd like to be featured on the Lawn Fawn blog! Um, yes!

So, here you go:

I went to a retreat with a few crafty friends and brought stuff to color! I wanted to really, really get some good color practicing in. I colored the first 2 cards with Copics and water color pencils for this last one. I still need some serious help with shading but hey, maybe bolder coloring is my thing! Yeah, let's go with that :)

I'd like to thank Kelly for being so awesomesauce and having one of my favorite crafty companies ever! True story. One time, I applied for a DT and the coordinator asked (super nicely) if I used other stamps besides Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts!

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday with Avery Elle + A Blog Named Hero!

Hello Friends!!

I hope you are enjoying the month long celebration that A Blog Named Hero is having this month! This week we played with a new stamp company, Avery Elle! Love their style!

I was having SO much fun with the pink on this one! The "All Occasions Tags" from Avery Elle is SO fun!

The background is Hero Arts, "Birthday Definition" and Hero Arts Mid-Tone Bubble Gum ink! Woohoo!

The vellum envie is from Studio Calico. Fun!

Here's the tag pulled out so you can see better :) Some Papertrey Inc white ribbon and Timeless Twine in Raspberry Pink to top it off!

Thanks for stopping by! There's a PRIZE up for grabs too! Go see, go see!

Happy Birthday!

Hello Friends!

I have a fun and colorful birthday card on the Timeless Twine blog with some gorgeous twine and the new Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set + die!

I LOVE these colors together!

I had the perfect ColorBox inks to match-Very Berry & Violet.

When I saw this stamp + die set from Simon Says Stamp, I knew I had to own it! You see, I can't align very well without a massive use of math and rulers...not my strong suit! So, this die makes it super easy! AND the stamps that go inside the square die cut out are a tad bigger than the window so aligning the stamping is super easy too!

A Blog Named Hero + Hero Arts

Hello Friends!

This week A Blog Named Hero is celebrating our 1st birthday with...Hero Arts! Woohoo!!!

I have to say, I love how this card turned out! I pulled out a new Hero Arts + Basic Grey Background stamp, Tiny Hearts (you can see the hearts in the next photo, I left the lighting darker so you could see it).

I also played with the "Fact" collection from Basic Grey. LOVE!!

The envie has a little message stamped out on a piece of paper. That wax seal says, "SWAK" (sealed with a kiss).

I decided to stamp the sentiment on the inside of the card! I used Hero Arts set, Year Round Sentiments.

There's a lot more eye candy over at A Blog Named Hero! We're celebrating all this week with Hero Arts and all month with special collaborations! So fun!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Mother's Day Magnet Card

Hello Fawny Friends!

I'm on the Lawnscaping blog today! I have a fun interactive card that doubles as a little gift!

The rosette is a magnet that the recipient can take off and use!
what the heck?? I straighten that rosette about 500 times before I took this dang photo!!!

So, when the rosette comes off the card would look really bare so I decided to put a sticker and sentiment so the card would still look complete.

You just adhere one side of the magnet to the rosette and the other side of the magnet to the inside of the card!

Super fun, super easy! And it jazzes up the already super cool handmade card!

Just a reminder you have until Wednesday to enter our current challenge! We have some AMAZING entries already to jump start your creativity! Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring us and the winner will receive a $25 gift card! Woohoo!

Happy Birthday, A Blog Named Hero!

Hello Friends!

It's my turn for the Timeless Twine + A Blog Named Hero collaboration today! Monday was for Timeless Twine and today is for A Blog Named Hero (keeping that all straight was humorous! Like when it occurred to me that I needed to make 2 projects, doh!).

~This is a gift bag! I thought it was a fun way to jazz up a little gift.

~One of my favorite Timeless Twine colors is Aqua Delight. It's SO pretty.

~The sentiment is from the Hero Arts set, "Year Round Sentiments" (which also happens to be an Operation Write Home set!).

~I also used some new embossing powder I picked up. It's Espresso by Ranger. LOVE! And of course some Distress Ink for the tag (which has some cool texture because of water but you'll just have to close your eyes and imagine because you can't see it in the photo. *sigh*).

There's more twiney-stampy fun over at A Blog Named Hero! And info on how to enter for a prize! Thanks for stopping by!

Timeless Twine + A Blog Named Hero

Hello Friends!

**This is my second post for today. For the new Lawnscaping challenge, click HERE!**

I'm SO SO SO excited for this post! Why? Because two of my design teams are playing together! Woohoo! Timeless Twine and A Blog Named Hero are playing all this week! It's ABNH's first birthday and we're celebrating ALL month long!

So there's a story to this card. You can't see 2 panels of stamping! Hahah! I stamped and distressed 3 layers but because of the distressing and twine you can't see the bottom 2 layers. Oh well! I still like how it turned out!

I treated the Olive twine with Tea Dye Distress Ink. Major shabby chic vibe going on! Here's what Olive looks like before I inked it up:

I'm trying really had to show you the dimension!

Thanks for coming by and celebrating with us. There's A LOT more twine inspiration from my awesome DT HERE and all week on A Blog Named Hero!
