Twine Color Swatches

Hello Friends!

I wanted to show you how I made some twine color swatches. I love me some color swatches, I have all my inks stamped out too.

Super simple to do.
~the tags are from Office Depot (but you could totally die cut your own. Or even just cut some paper)
~I poked 8 holes and stitched!
~then you put all the swatches on a binder ring.
~write the name of the color on the back!

There's TONS of fun goodies HERE to shop your heart out!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a twin-tastic day!

Hello, Friends!

Hi my lovelies!

How is everyone? I know I've been a little scarce her on the old bloggity blog lately. You know when life happens? Yeah, I gotta big dose of just life, haha!

I wanted to share some upcoming fun events that will be happening!

  • I'm guest designing for my dear friend, Lenny! I have a fun Easter card to share!
  • Timeless Twine, May Arts, Avery Elle & A Blog Named Hero (ABNH) are celebrating ABNH's 1st birthday!
  • I'm going to a retreat! Squee! It's a local one with some scrapbooking friends!
  • Thursday, April 25th, I'm being featured over at the Lawn Fawn blog! Woohoo!
*phew* and THAT's just the extra special events! I'll still have my regular projects for Lawnscaping, A Blog Named Hero and Timeless Twine!

Have you bought any Lawn Fawn dies yet? I haven't! Yikes! What's wrong with me? LOL!

And of course, some eye candy:

I sent this to my birthday twin, Wida!
I used "Year Three" from Lawn Fawn.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Oh, hey, I've been reading that Google Reader will shut down. Now, I don't really use Reader too much but if that's how you follow my blog and you still want to (don't tell me if you don't, ha!), I have a "follow by email" widget on the right hand side of this blog, near the top.

A Blog Named Hero Free for All!

Hello Friends!

Are you ready to run wild? Well, A Blog Named Hero's next challenge is Anything Goes! Go free style!

So...I've been on a watercoloring kick. I think I'm started to embrace coloring with different mediums. I'm practicing with Copics but so far I feel like I've become so-so with watercolor pencils.

This stamp is a tad older from Hero Arts but I've been just dying to use it. I like the messy painting I did, it's so freeing to just paint! I stamped the sentiment on the inside and then promptly forgot to take a photo of it for you. Just close your eyes and imagine, "Get Well Soon".

Have a great day! Can't wait to see what you make!

The tulips are Paper Smooches, "Bold Blossoms"
The grass is Lawn Fawn, "Critters on the Savanna"

A Blog Named Hero + Travel Card

Hello, hello!

I hope you're having a great week so far! It's Wednesday, you're almost to the weekend!

Our current challenge at A Blog Named Hero is to stamp your own embellishments so I thought it would be super fun to make a travel card. The idea is like a post card, make this card before your trip, take it with you and send the card back to a loved one!

Get the idea? Fill in the card, write a message and send away! This is a standard size card so the inside is available for writing your message as well!

I stamped out my images on white, cut them out and then colored with Distress Inks. Stamp the background (the 3 little dots are from a Lawn Fawn set, Year Three). Add some washi, layer the journaling cards and you're done!

Here's the stamp set I used:

You still have time to enter our current challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Rosette Magnets with Lawnscaping!

Hello Friends! I hope you had a great weekend!

I'm obsessed with making paper rosettes, they are so fast and fun and can be used for so many different projects. Today I'm sharing some cute magnets I made using two of Lawn Fawn's new collections, Daphne's Closet and Pink Lemonade.

Above: the magnet on the back of one of the rosette's.

I used the Tim Holtz Alterations rosette dies (both sizes) and cut several flowers.
It's fun to embellish the centers too, you can add stickers, buttons, clips, all sorts of fun things.
This would be fun to add to a card and have the recipient be able to take it off and use as a magnet.

Here's a pic of the two collections for your drooling pleasure (clickable for shopping!):

Thanks for stopping by! You have until Wednesday to enter our Texture challenge! Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring us and the prize is a $25 gift card! Woohoo!

Have a great week!

Here's our new puppy, Addie, on my crafting desk looking oh so stinkin' cute!

Welcome Lily Beard!

**Please click HERE for the Timelessly Odd Blog Hop**

Hello Friends!

I'm SO excited for today! My sweet friend, Laurel, just had an adorable baby girl, Lily, and some crafty buddies are doing a Baby Shower Blog Hop to celebrate! Yay!

The super talented Chrissie organized this party and she did such an amazing job keeping us all organized! Chrissie has the full list of participants HERE.

You should have arrived her from Lalo!

First, this is for Lily. I decided on "Home Sweet Home" and used some fabulous paper from Pebbles.

And when I was done I knew I needed to make a card for Lily's older brother, Lucas. He's SUCH a sweetheart and just adores his little sis. So, this one is for Lucas:

I'm trying out a new light box and backgrounds. Hang in there with me until I get it figured out!

Congratulations to the Beard family!

Next on your hop is Tamara! You'll love her card, she's amazing!

Have a great weekend!

Home Sweet Home with Lawnscaping + Winner

Hi Friends!

Today is super exciting for 4 reasons. First, it's time for another Lawnscaping Challenge!

I used a new Lawn Fawn set, "Home Sweet Home". Love that set, it has several sentiments, a banner and tons of goodies to build a bird house.

Texture: flower, Timeless Twine in Aqua, woodgrain background stamp and a canvas background stamp.
When you're aiming for texture, it doesn't have to be tactile texture, you can create the "feel" of texture (like I did with the stamping).

Simon Says Stamp is generously providing the prize, a $25 gift card! You can pick up a Lawn Fawn stamp set and try on of their new dies too!

Secondly, it's my birthday!

Third, we got a new puppy!!! We named her Addie because she's adorable (get it, Addie for adorable?). She's 16 weeks old and oh my word the cutest thing ever! Our older dog, Roxie, is getting used to her and so far so good! Right now Addie is about 3 pounds and will get to about 4 1/2. She's already such a snuggle bug too!

And finally, I have a winner from my random giveaway! picked Elise C! Congrats! Elise, if you'll please email me: and give my your snail mail addy, I'll get the goodies out to you!

*phew* lots of exciting news for one post, eh? If you made it this far, thank you :) Have a great day!
