Gettin' Taggy with Timeless Twine

Hello Friends!

Here's a little somethin' somethin' you may have not known about me. I love tags. I'm on the Timeless Twine blog today with this fun tag.

I had a kit out and it had a sewing theme so I jumped in and made this:

It came together so fast! Another reason tags & I get along :)
The scissors and needle are chipboard pieces I colored with ink.

The gorgeous twine color is Chocolate Chip Brown

I also wanted to mention a super fun hop we're doing with Some Odd Girl March 8th! Save the date, there will be prizes and amazing projects by both teams! We are SO excited!!

Have a Twine-tastic day!

Randomness + Giveaway

Hello Friends!

Hope you're having a good Sunday :) It's snowing here, forecast calls for about 9" by tomorrow.

I just wanted to show some cards I've made recently. Just because. I've found I have to do the "just because" cards because if I only do DT assignments, crafting becomes work, you know what I mean?

Here you go! Giveaway deets below :)

I wanted to play with my re-inkers and water. Sentiment from Neat & Tangled. Flowers from Hero Arts.

This is Operation Write Home Sketch #158. It's for my hubs. I tell him this often :)

I found a love card I made but never photographed.

I'm still clearing out my craft room and after my last giveaway, my giveaway box is still full of goodies. So just leave a comment and you'll be entered! Let's give it a week, so deadline to enter is March 3rd :) If you Facebook/Tweet/blog about the giveaway, let me know with an additional comment and I'll put an extra entry in for you :)

Hope you have a great week!

Scramble Time!

Hello Friends!

Long time, no see. I think Monday was my last post. Last week was CRAZY busy, I think I got a little burned out. It happens.

However, my friend Cat, was kind enough to keep after me about the 90 Minute Hero Arts Scramble today. I'm so glad she did because it was SO fun to just create!

Stamps/Ink:
HA S5215 Clouds
HA 4878 Old Letter Writing
HA CL267 Card Messages
HA CL299 Happy Birthday
HA Mid-Tone Shadow Ink-Pool & Raspberry Jam
HA Shadow Ink-Soft Pool
HA White Embossing Powder
Distress Ink Pumice Stone

Timeless Twine in Graphite Gray

AND! I had a happy accident/discovery. Pic first:

See the sentiment? Well, I need to explain.
I colored the die cut with ink and *thought* I dried it enough before I stamped in VersaMark and dumped EP on it. Well, it wasn't dry and I had to brush it all off. As a little time went by, the sentiment look bleached.

Now, I'm not allowed to use bleach because disaster. So I think I'll play around with this discovery. The thing is, the sentiment didn't lightened up enough to used just as is. I'll have to figure something out. Maybe darker ink?

I hope you have a great weekend!

Timeless Twine Day!

Hello Friends!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope in some way or another you'll be enjoying today!

It's my turn on the Timeless Twine blog!

The 'with love' is washi tape!
I decided to use the Black Kraft twine because the ruler trim was black and brown and I thought the Black Kraft  twine was a perfect accent.

Twine Tip: Add 2 or 3 bows for extra interest and dimension.

We have a BRAND new twine color being released on Saturday and we're celebrating with a fun blog hop! You know there will prizes and amazing projects! Save the date!

Have a twine-tastic day! Hugs for you all :)

A Blog Named Hero Day!

Hello Friends!

It's my turn at A Blog Named Hero and I was really itching to do some messy inking with water and make a set of Valentine's Day cards.

Remember the sketch Leslie introduced (here) and Cris used (here)? Well, I really wanted to play with the sketch but between the girls I couldn't come up with a unique (because they rocked it!) idea so I took an element from the sketch, the 3 hearts, and jumped from there!

Card size: 3x3
Colors in supply list below
Smoosh 3 colors of ink on your craft mat, spray liberally with water
Drag/pat your watercolor paper in/through the ink
DRY the first layer, then dab more ink to add depth
Apply twine and white enamel accents

You still have time to enter our current challenge (here). Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring us and you could win a gift card!

If you can't make this challenge, stay tuned for a new one on the 15th!

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine's Day! Remember my giveaway HERE!

Lawnscaping Day!

Hello Friends!

Happy Monday to you all! I'm showing my version of a masculine Valentines Day card at Lawnscaping today.

I know masculine cards intimate some card makers, including myself, so I asked my hubs to tell me what made a masculine card. I'll share his hints over at Lawnscaping.

Lawn Fawn: Sophie's Greetings & Grand Greetings

Remember, you still have until Wednesday, February 13th to enter our current challenge:

The prize is a $25 gift certificate to our awesome sponsor, Simon Says Stamp!

Let's Celebrate

Hello Friends!!

Today is the day we're celebrating my blog's 100 followers!!!! Whoot!!! When I started blogging, my hubs and a local scrapping friend were my sole followers for a while. While I tried not to focus on that number, I did want people to find my creative space inspiring! And look! I've grown!

To help celebrate, I asked some sweet and talented crafting friends to make a celebration card! Each of them made an amazing card and I'm so grateful for them and each of you too! Seriously, the friends in this community are awesome!

I have a HUGE giveaway to celebrate too! I took a photo of like 1/4 of the goodies, I'll post that pick at the end.

Now, let's celebrate!

Meghan Head (remember the Christmas card she made that I posted? Same dragon magic!)

This is only SOME of the goodies, I didn't want to take a million pictures!

Giveaway deets:
1) Since this celebrates my followers, you must be a follower to win
2) Open to everyone!
3) Comment by next Friday, February 15th and I'll announce the winner on Saturday, February 16th

That's it! If you want to spread the word, feel free! Leave me a comment for each time you Facebook/Tweet/Blog, etc and I'll put an extra entry for you in the giveaway!

Thank you again to the girls who helped me celebrate! You're the BEST! Mwah!

Have a great weekend!

It's just a jumping off point-I give you permission to be crazy too!
