Hello Friends!
I have a lovey dovey project for today featured on the Lawnscaping blog! I introduced the reasoning behind the project over there and I thought I'd jump right into the "how"!
*Measure all sides of the box
*Ink all edges of the box
*Cut papers (I used "Eva" from Basic Grey here)
*Adhere paper with Mod Podge (or other super durable adhesive)
*Stamp sentiment, cut out, adhere
*Embellish!
*Tip: I can't measure and cut correctly to save my life. So, I got as close as a could but on the too big side. Then I marked with a pencil/eyeballed to get the perfect size. I would hold the "almost fits" piece of paper to one side of the box and just decide how much more paper to trim. It works for me!
*Tip: I wrote the measurements on the box itself since I was covering it all up, the pencil marks didn't matter.
*Tip: The reason I inked all the edges is because of tip #1. The inking helps hide imperfections. And the box corners were a little rounded so I knew the paper needed to be cut a little short.
*Tip: run the ribbon through a Xyron sticker maker for all over adhesive coverage!
