*I added liquid pearls to the adorable snowman (not in the kit)
We made it through one full week!! Think we can make the rest?? I decided to do a HUGE Christmas giveaway at the end of this little celebration too. I have not worked out the deets just yet but I think if we pull all 32 days off we all need some prizes!!
I've had fun suggestions for the name of this little celebration! Thanks to my lovely friends who suggested names! I think I'm going to go with "Crafty Christmas Celebration". I believe Cat lead me to the "C's" for the title, so mwah! Thank you!
Thanks for coming back for another day of Holiday Inspiration!
Stamp: Let It Snow by Lawn Fawn
Paper: Specialty Stamping Paper by Ranger
Inks: Distress Stains in some blues
Can't remember what stamp set the sentiment is from!
A special shout-out to Virginia Lu who inspired me for that background technique. I don't have alcohol inks but I wanted that effect so I white embossed the snowflakes then started covering the background with different blue Distress Stains. I wanted a whirly-swirly look.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all have a fantastic week!
I hope you're all well and happy :) I decided to take on a 32 day project from today until Christmas Eve. Gulp. One card or tag per day until Christmas Eve!
I will be quick with the posts, purely eye candy and hopefully some Holiday spirit to spread around! I hope you will enjoy! Laid back, just a quick card. There's A TON of Holiday inspiration floating around so I will be respectful of your time!
Paper: Nordic Holidays by Basic Grey
Stamp: Christmas Elements by Hero Arts
Popping in to tell you about a uber exciting, inspiration packed event going on over at A Blog Named Hero blog beginning the night OF Thanksgiving, Novemeber 22nd and lasting until Christmas Eve, December 24th.
Linda and Mary Dawn have lined up some spectacular extra special guests and we will be bringing you Holiday projects EVERY day until Christmas Eve!! Crazy excited, crazy fun.
So you want to know how much, right? All these classes floating around, how will you pick? Well, my lovlies, it's Free. Nothing. Nada. Pure inpiration. Can't beat that! Or can you? There will be PRIZES!! Can you hear the roar of the crowd? Are you excited??
Need a last minute idea for making Thanksgiving a little extra special? You're not so super busy with prep are you?? Haha! I made name place cards! If you don't live in the States you can take this idea for party props too!
The challenge at Lawnscaping is Tags! Oh my! I adore tags of all kinds and sizes. My teamies have some fun and amazing projects too!
I used the collection pack from Lawn Fawn, "Dewey Decimal", Lawn Fawn lawn trimmings and a random rose brad I had.
If you have longer names that my examples you can use a stamp set or bigger tags! I just ran some tags I bought at an office supply store through my Xyron, adhered the paper, trimmings & alphas.
Of course I wanted them to stand up so I covered a 2nd tag with paper, scored the top of the 2nd tag and held them together with the rose brad.
So one of my new online friends, Amy Tsuruta, had her 5th Blogaversary this past week and she celebrated by doing tons of giveaways with fun questions and a fun blog post that re-visited her first 4 cards she blogged! I was supposed to link this up in time to enter one giveaway but...yeah...totally missed the deadline. Oops :)
BUT, I pulled my first 4 cards! I didn't even remember when I started blogging! So this was SO fun to go down memory lane! My first post was July 2010 and I didn't post a pic of a card until Oct 2010! Me + camera = disaster so I had to work up to it! I really ramped up the blogging in 2011. I guess I'm still a baby!
So here you go!
I used a collection pack for these, I made a big 'ol stack. This is from October 2010.
I was a new Close to My Heart consultant and was trying out some techniques I learned from my upline Teresa Black. October 2010
For 2 years now I've made hubs Valentine's Day tags. I start Feb 1 and end with Feb 14th! These are from February 2011. (I wasn't a consistent blogger back then, thus the huge gap!).
For 2 years now I've made hubs Valentine's Day tags. I start Feb 1 and end with Feb 14th! These are from February 2011.
What I've learned: I'm still new! I should pay attention to my Blogaversary date too! I have a HUGE box to giveaway, I've been waiting for the perfect time! I think soon :)
I dusted off my Prisma colored pencils! I love coloring with them on Kraft card stock! I got this Lawn Fawn (Sweet Christmas) set right after they released it but never inked it up! So, while it's not old, it was un-used in my stash! Totally counts!
We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp for this challenge! Play along for a prize!!
Thanks for stopping by and head over to the Lawnscaping blog for more inspiration!!
Did everyone remember to turn their clocks back who need to? I love the extra hour of sleep but it takes my body a couple of weeks to get used to the daylight time vortex.
I wanted to share cards I've made with the October Artful Delight Card Kit. Now, sometimes people think I get these cards done all in one sitting. That's not the case at ALL! I just don't photograph my cards as often as I make them so when I do pull out the camera I have LOTS of cards to photograph!
And you know I love using the kits until there's practically nothing left. The Artful Delight kits are hard because you get SO. MUCH. PRODUCT. Totally not complaining, it's awesome!!!
I decided to use a Spellbinders die and make a shaped card. Then I wanted to use some gorgeous inks by ColorBox that were a Fall color palette because I wanted to use a new-to-me Hero Arts stamp set, Leaf Print!
ColorBox inks: Squash, Pinetree, Gooseberry and Chianti
Distress Ink in Tea Dye
Versafine Onyx Black for sentiment
Hero Arts stamp Leaf Prints CL395
Spellbinders Labels 8
Papertrey Ink Banner die
Doodlebug Christmas Pearls
Thanks for stopping by! Check out ABNH to see what my other teamies have made! Have a great Thursday, the weekend is almost here!
