Tim Holtz Fall 2011 Distress Inks

Hello Ladies!

I HAD to get the new Tim Holtz Fall 2011 Distress Inks! Yes, HAD to! I have all the other colors and the Distress Inks are the one collection I allow myself to keep "complete". I'm reading a buzz about new Christmas colors too..insert heart palpitations here...and I will HAVE to get those too!

Here's a set of Thank You cards I made with all three new colors! I wanted to use just one color on each card so the background, rosette color and sentiment are all stamped with the same color. The pic isn't great, but the colors are SO pretty! The purple and brown are my fav out of all the purples and browns!

I made the rosettes by just piling on the ink, scoring, gluing and adding a button and/or twine. The Basic Grey "Pyrus" buttons were the perfect color!

Then I stamped "thanks" with Lawn Fawn's "Jessie's ABC's" and "Bannerific" in the same ink as the corresponding rosette. The background stamp is also from Lawn Fawn's "Schoolhouse Backdrops".

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Lily Pad/Hero Arts Challenge

Hello Srappers!

For today's post I'm entering this card into the Lily Pad Cards/Hero Arts Challenge:

I had fun with this card because I made it for a little boy that I used to nanny for, he's 5 now and just started Kindergarten so I wanted to send him "back to school" themed cards! I knew I wanted to use Spanish, stitching and those little cars from Basic Grey's 6 x 6 Wander paper pad.

And boy or girl, who doesn't love shiny stuff?

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!

Hello Ladies!
Lily Pad Cards has this monthly Card Chain Challenge. I've always wanted to play but never get to bloggin' in time!

Here's my September entry:

Standard size A2 card. Circle frame on front with patterned paper, vellum and sentiment inside.

A closer look at the circle part with white gel pen stitching.

I used washi tape, a large gromet and twine for the bottom part of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Lily Pad Card Resist Challenge

Good Morning Ladies!

Here in Denver it's 61 degrees, it will get warmer throughout the day but I ADORE Fall! I wish my vocabulary were bigger because I don't have the words in my head to describe how much I love Fall! Something inside of me awakens, I love when I can smell Fall coming, see the leaves barely start changing. It just relaxes me!

This card isn't in my "normal" style (truth be told, I have no idea what my "normal" style even is, so go with it!) but everyone I showed it to had a dramatic reaction. I kept asking them "what about this one made you react that way?" and they all said it was the boldness of the red against the black. It makes a statement. I'm entering it into the Lily Pad Cards Resist Challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamps!

So happy almost-technically-Fall-at-least-in-Denver-for-today!

Below: showing some of the dimension

Below: a close up of the flower. I used lots of enamel accents and distress inks

This will be my first post using the inlinkz manager tool! It's how bloggers add the icons of supplies to their post. Let me know what you think! If you're interested in more you can find a coupon code at many "top" crafting bloggers. I grabbed mine from Lily Pad Cards.

Have a fantastic day!
