Totally Hues Challenge #5

Hi! Thanks for coming by to see my latest creation! I love making tags! Maybe it's the small size, I feel like I can design better! I'm beginning to realize how much time goes into entering challenges! Some people enter a ton of them! I think if I could just make stuff and not be the one to take the photo, that would be easier for me!

This is my tag for the Totally Hues Challenge #6.

The sentiment stamp is PTI "Fillable Frames 12" and the corresponding die. Flower stamp is Fancy Pants "Daily Grind Stamp 1". Background stamp is Hero Arts "Flourish Background". The tag is manila colored and I used Worn Lipstick and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks to get the look I wanted.

Below: I used PTI "Sweet Blush" polka dot pattern paper and then used Liquid Pearls for the little dots! Distressed edges in Worn Lipstick and Vintage photo to help the label stand out from the background.

Below: I wanted the whole thing to shine so I spritzed the whole tag in Glimmer Mist "Pearl". Then I still wanted to play so I sprayed a really fine mist of water.

Below: I colored two green initial charms with Jenni Bowlin's "Chewing Gum" acrylic pant. Then I tied some of The Twinery's "Blossom" on some buttons. I used glossy accents to hold them in place. The ribbon is PTI "New Leaf". Around the edges of the tag I used more Chewing Gum and then Adirondack acrylic paint in gold.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look! What do you think?

Lawnscaping Challenge #7

Lawnscaping challenge #7 is to make your own patterned paper with stamps. I've been doing this a lot more lately and I love it! I've started to use other images besides flowers or dots, it's really fun!

For this card I used Bannerific and Fly Free from Lawn Fawn. I enjoy using these stamps because they are easy to cut out, whimsical and stamp well.

Below: Kraft from PTI, patterned paper from College Press "Hometown Summer" collection.

Below: I embossed the little birdies and colored them with Tea Dye Distress Ink. The twine is Caribbean from The Twinery. And the little eye bling is from KaiserCraft.

Thanks for stopping by! Leave me some blog love and let me know what you think!
