Lawnscaping Challenge #6

Here's my entry for the Lawnscaping Challenge! Their stamps are so cute and unique. For this card I used "Bannerific" for the sentiment.

Below: I paper pieced that adorable dress. I actually made several cards, the image was so easy to cut with scissors! I'm NOT a scissors girl!

Below: A close up of the Lawn Fawn banner image. I stamped it on vellum with clear then I inked it all up with Distress Inks:

Below: I'm trying to capture how adorable this dress is! I used glossy accents on the top and some glitter pen on the lace, a gem and colored the flower in:

Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you have any questions and please leave a comment!

Totally Hues Challenge #4

This is my entry for the Totally Hues Challenge over here. I was aiming for simple. My struggle is to know the line between "simple" and "not finished". What do you think?

Below: I actually had 2 of the exact colors! Plum Pudding and New Leaf from Papertrey Ink and I added So Saffron from Stampin' Up. The pink pom pom trim I got at Joann's:

Below: This stamp set is "Just the Ticket" from Papertrey Ink. It's really cute because the set has several label/frames for various sentiments:

Below: So I wrapped four pieces of ribbon around cardstock and then adhered that piece to my card front with dimensionals:

Below: This little flower is from a Basic Grey set called "Pocket Garden". Then I used the Sakura glitter pen for some bling, but you can't really see it, so just trust me! A little faux stitching too:

I see some people enter challenges all the time and thought I'd keep trying. It's fun! Tell me what you think!

Thanks for stopping by!

What inspires you?

I've been staying overnight with my adorable 4 year old that I nanny for. My niece is here today too. So far, no tears or scratches! It is only 8:20am, maybe I should wait on celebrating!

Ok, on to inspiration...

Do you read lots of blogs regularly? I have about five that I troll on a regular basis. I love them, but then I feel too passive. They put up an effort to post their creations, stories, etc. I don't want to passively enjoy their blogs, they inspire me but I want to put that inspiration into action. Sometimes during the day I have a product in mind that I've been just dying to play with. Either ink, paper, stamps or just a flower that I've had my eye on. Now what I need to do is make time to create something. Even if I can't finish an entire project I want to share what I finish. I love making embellishments, cards, tags, etc. Now cards I finish but putting all these cute embellishments or tags on layouts, you know with PICTURES, is a different story! My goal is to create something with out the pressure of "finishing" or making it perfect. My second goal is to share on my blog. Think I can do it? Think I can do it more than a few times?? That's the real question, right?

Well, it's time to get everyone cleaned up and ready to go! Have a great Saturday!
