Christmas cards!

Check out my Christmas cards over at ebay! These were SO fun to do! I love making cards because I can complete something instead of staring at a 12x12 layout wondering what to do next!

Finally, a card with pictures!

I made this card using Close to My Heart's Circle of Love stamp set. I LOVE the peacock feathers that can be used as flourishes as well.

I started by stamping the big peacock with versa mark on textured white cardstock. I heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I used Tim Holtz Dusty Concord distress ink, CTMH's Indian Corn Blue and Sweet Leaf to color on and around the image and added some bling. I matted the image on chocolate card stock. I used another stamp from the Circle of Love set and stamped with versa mark on the front of the card for a border. I used Chocolate ink around all the front edges of the card as well as the white cardstock image. I matted the peacock image on chocolate cardstock and then to the front of the card. For the inside, I inked the edges with Chocolate, stamped a flourish with the Cherished Flourishes set with Sweet Leaf ink on cream cardstock, inked the edges and adhered to the inside of the card. The technique of inking over the embossing and blending I learned from Tim Holtz and Jennifer McGuire. The idea to use the Circle of Love stamp set this way I learned from Tresa Black's Ustream channel.

I will be working on my camera skills so I can post better pics of my projects. I have so many to share that I'm just going to go for it!

I'm off to work now! Happy Sunday.

Hello Fall!

September flew right by! My mom and dad were in town for a little bit before heading off to Ukraine (they are missionaries!). And then Robert and I went to Costa Rica! For 2 weeks we were there and visited some of the same places we went to 9 years ago! It's good to be back home, we missed our fur-child Roxie a lot too.

We walked a little bit from the bus stop to home and we both noticed it smelled like Fall! And the nice crisp air! And I didn't miss all the leaves turning and falling so that's good as it's my favorite time of year.

Hopefully, I can turn my attention back to scrapbooking and CTMH. I made a box of Christmas cards that I really want to sell so I need to get back in the game. And I'm super behind on making pages too.

I hope everyone is enjoying Fall, or whatever season you're in!
