I've been making great progress training myself with CTMH. I love the listening library and conference calls. They have a convention next year at Disneyland. Oh, I would so LOVE to go. I'm deciding if my goal is to make enough money to pay for the trip. I'm just loving all the new product I've been playing with. Think I could keep myself in business? My hubby might not like that. Although....
Wednesday's are my favorite. It's the day I go pick up my share of awesome, local and organic veggies, fruit, bread and eggs. We bought a "share" at the farm, Grant Family Farm. For 26 weeks we get such wonderful produce. We love the bread and free-range chicken eggs too. I have no interest in purchasing nor eating a tomato that was grown in Mexico, picked green, shipped to Ohio and then do Denver. No thanks. So our CSA shares are so wonderful. Not to mention we are eating much healthier!
Do you go to Farmer's Market's?

I know that all the YouTube videos and blog posts of beautiful projects took a lot of time and effort. Now that I've been trying to take pictures of my cherry cards I REALLY can appreciate how talented those people are. How do I highlight that I used glitter? How do I make the photos look bright and not like I laid them on the bed and snapped a quick photo. I know, I know--natural light. That's just about the extent of my knowledge. I have this vision of what I want to post. Now if my camera would behave (I'm sure it's the camera, can't be me).

When I lived on the Western Slope during college I was blessed to enjoy Palisade cherries. Oh my word! They are heaven, truly heaven. Cherries from the grocery did fine until my first Palisade cherry. Oh, the dark purple, juicy burst of cherry. My husband had to take the bag away from me because I could eat cherries all day! Never have I eaten a grocery store cherry again. We have actually driven to Palisade FOR cherries. That's dedication.
So when I started playing with Close to My Heart's Cherry-O papers I thought of Summer.
Warm and juicy cherries. I'm working on some cards using the cherry stamps and paper and I'll post them later. I have some acrylic circle scallop cards that I've never worked with. I want to do something cute with them too. If I could get a good picture of a bowl of cherries I'll do a layout as well.
What reminds you of summer?
I've joined the masses. I've created a blog. My new life motto is "Make it Happen". I'm a great researcher, but I usually fall short of the action part of a plan. I hope this fire will be strong and long-lasting. I'm 31. I need to make something happen for me. I'm trying to stay focused and calm. Keep the energy going. I can talk all day about stamping, scrapbooking, card making, inking (no, really, I could go on and on) so that's my strength. So maybe this blog will be little scraps of my life, making it happen.
